Neal Grilley,65, departed this life on October 5, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Born in New London, Ohio, Neal joined the Army when he was 17, served in Vietnam, returned home and began working as an Installation/Repair Technician for GTE Telephone company.

Neal shared his enjoyment of astronomy, riding their Harleys and outdoor photography with his wife.

Neal will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his wife Irene, daughter, Michelle (Joel) Lopez, and grandchildren Nicolas and Zaylie; a son in Indiana; and his surviving siblings, Sue (Steve) Byron, Regina Franklin, Carla (Roger) Gum, Alan (Tracy) Grilley and Jim Grilley. Neal also had many nieces and nephews who will miss him very much and whom he loved dearly.

Neal will always be remembered as a kind, loving, giving, person who helped many during his life. He had many friends who will treasure his memory and miss him.

A small reception will be held at the Museum of Friends in Walsenburg, at 6th & Main Streets at noon on Saturday, November 11th. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Neal's ashes will be buried at a later date and another memorial will be held by his siblings in Ohio in April 2018.
