Obituary for Nancy Rae Villalon (Rudersdorf)
Nancy Rae Villalon, Born 01/15/1946 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Died 7/13/2018 in Pueblo, Colorado after a lengthy illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arlene & Laurence Rudersdorf. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Solomon Villalon, children, Rob, Rebecca, Melissa, brothers, Larry and Robert, a sister, Linda, four grandchildren, Jayvn, RJ, Maria and Selena, numerous nieces and nephews.
She lived in Richland Center , Wisconsin until she graduated from High School, then went to nursing school in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. After graduating from Nursing School, she moved to Denver, Colorado. In 1977 she moved to Walsenburg after marrying Dr. Solomon Villalon.
She was a Registered Nurse & graduated from St. Francis Nursing School in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It is now Vitebro University.
She worked in pediatrics at Mercy Hospital in Denver. After moving to Walsenburg, she worked for Dr. Arthur Vialpando & Dr. Solomon Villalon. She also worked at Huerfano Memorial Hospital & set up the Lifeline Program.
On moving to Walsenburg, she worked with the Girl Scouts, she also did volunteer work at St. Mary Grade School where she worked as the school librarian.
For years she ran & owned Nancy's Ceramics and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was instrumental in helping Sister Carol start her program to help senior citizens.
Nancy enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, crocheting, weaviing, ceremics, traveling & people. She especially enjoyed family & friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 AM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial at the North St. Mary Cemetery.
