Bradley Steward "Brad" Huff
Bradley Stewart Huff was born to Leigh and Minnie Huff on November 13, 1930 on the Huff homestead just 10 miles east of Walsenburg. "Brad" spent his school years in Walsenburg where he attended elementary school through high school.
At the age of 20, he made Ruth (Waggoner) Huff his bride on March 31, 1951.
Hard work was a hallmark of Brad's life. Over the years, he worked as a rancher and truck driver. One of his greatest honors was owning Bradley Huff Trucking. When his grandchildren were school-aged, Brad drove a school bus in La Veta. He was a favorite with the kids, and one of the biggest Redskins fans around.
Brad worked hard and played harder. When he was young, Brad enjoyed bareback riding in the local rodeos and dancing with his sweetheart, Ruth. In his later years, he enjoyed watching sports, reading historical westerns, fishing with his grandkids, and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
During his life, Brad forged many connections throughout the community. He was well respected and liked He was known for his work ethic, his ornery sense of humor, and his affinity for a second helping of dessert.
Brad has gone ahead to save a place for his wife, Ruth; their children, Sherry (Bob) Freese and Viron (Randee) Huff; six grandkids, Nikki (Matt) Cain, Dena (Jesse) Jaminet, Chad (Corey) Freese, Tyler (Amber) Huff, Nace (Casey) Huff, and Samantha Huff; and ten great-grandchildren, Bryce Cain, Jaelie and Taela Jaminet, Cale and Coby Freese, Weston, Kersey and Kanon Huff, and Trindon and Holdyn Huff.
