Bernard Atencio, age 83, of Walsenburg, Colorado, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Bernard was born April 12, 1935 in Walsenburg, Colorado.
Bernard is preceded in death by his father Aurello; mother Clorinda; brother Seferino; and sister Clorinda.
He is survived by his loving wife Viola; his loving children, sons, Bernie and Michael; daughter Marjorie; his sister Roseann; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Bernard married Viola Garcia in 1958 and together they raised three children. He was a military serviceman in the Army, worked at a Texaco gas station 12 years, and worked at Unfug Hardware store 12 years.
His hobbies were the Denver Broncos, Ebay, guitar songs, camping, fishing and hunting.
His memorial was at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Mazzone Hall, Walsenburg, Colorado.
