Obituary for William O'Rouke

Mr. William Patrick O’Rourke 72 of Pueblo Co passed away peacefully on Sunday October 22,2023. Welcomed into his eternal peace by his Heavenly Father & Reuniting with the love of his life of 37 years Mrs. Irene O’Rourke.

Also preceded in death by his parents William O’Rourke Sr, & Marie Silvia Forterall, sisters Regina O’Rourke, Kimberly Lessar, Aunt LillIan O’Rourke, & Brother-In-Law Simon Sierra.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Brandy Lynn Atencio (Micheal), Patrick Salazar, sister Kathleen O’Rourke, Uncle Jim Forterall, brother-in-law Randy Lessar, special nieces and nephews Jared & Shawn Lessar, Karina & Simone Sierra,
One of the things Bill Loved the most was spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them playing outside and just listening to them.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his first grandson, his buddy, best friend & support & motivation Christopher Lee & his ladybug Adrina Lynn Martinez, His partner Ezequiel, CataLaya, Micheal Ray, Neriah, & Josiah Atencio. Great- Grandchildren Ian Kingston, Cyrus Armani, & Xezakiah Ray Lee Martinez.

Bill was born on May 3, 1951, in Walsenburg Co. In which he grew up to become a well-known member of the community. Following his 26 years of service & dedication as an EMT for the Huerfano County Ambulance & Fire Dept. He was a member of the city council as well as a detention officer, correctional officer, Bail Bondsman & lifelong Truck Driver. He sure did love his truck. He met his wife & her children in 1986 marrying in 1996. He loved his time with family and friends. He had a kind heart, unforgettable laugh & a smile that was contagious. It was hard to ever be anything but happy when he was around. He just had a way of making you feel better & he will be so dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of being part of his life. His Sense of humor, sarcasm & positive outlook towards every situation was inspiring & admired by everyone he knew. Bill was just a amazing man who made this world a better place.

With a grateful yet heavy heart the family would like to thank Sharmar Village Care Center & New Century Hospice for their time and services, as well as Boies-Ortega Funeral home who is taking care of arrangements. Per Williams request cremation has taken place & a celebration of life will be scheduled & announced at a later time. As William rides through the gates of Heaven in his Dodge pickup truck he leaves us with this, C-ya later, I love you too, be careful, Love you too Daddy…. Rest easy & free!
