Obituary for Robert R Burke Jr.
Robert Burke Jr., MSgt left us unexpectedly on September 16, 2022. He proudly served in the Air Force and then the United States Marine Corps for over 29 years before retiring in 2011.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 13 years Tara, sisters Deborah and Nancy, daughters Jenni, Deana, and Alyssa, sons Jeremy, Evan and Devin, grandchildren Ethan, Violet, Kyrsten, and Madilynn, niece and nephew Kenna and Ryan, and his many uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Sr. and Mary, and son Robert III.
He enjoyed motorcycle rides with his cousin Fred and his biker buddies. He was very proud of a log cabin he had been building with Evan. He was also fortunate to have long time best friends like Tammy and Jackie, who he met in the military and remained close to ever since. John and Joann, who were together in the Air Force and Marine Corps and vacationed with Robert and Tara on multiple occasions. Friends like Theo and Cindy who double dated with Robert and Tara on their first date to the Air Force Dining-Out, which led to their marriage a year later. And the many new friends he made along the way from Texas to Colorado and NY.
At night he enjoyed beautiful sunsets with his true love, Tara, whom he affectionately called “ T “. And had a special place in his heart for his little dog Sassy who misses him so much.
