Obituary for Richard Sandoval

Richard A. Sandoval, 85, of Gardner, CO took his last breath on this earth Sept 5th, 2020. He is in God’s garden watching over us now.
He resided at the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center. He was an Army Veteran stationed at Ft. Carson. He was born in Gardner, CO to the parents of Alfredo and Beatrix Padilla. He is survived by his children Kim (James) Montez, & Kenny Sandoval. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel & son Kirk, brothers Mike and Dale along with sisters, Donnie Vigil and Virginia Trujillo Rodriguez. He has 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephews, John Rodriguez (Edith), Frank Rodriguez, Fred Rodriguez (Geri), Max Rodriguez (LeCita) and nieces Bea Duenas and Francis Archuleta (Albert) along with many extended family and close friends.
He spent most of his life working as a Ranch hand at local area ranches (with cattle, irrigation, & doing farm work).
He enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos every season, playing Bingo at the facility and fishing. He also spent his time making crafts, painting and watching his Western movies. He made many friends along his journey & he liked helping people.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15th, Rosary at 10:30 am followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Walsenburg, CO.
Burial will be at Gardner Cemetery.
