Michael Stevan Trujillo age 62 passed away unexpectedly, and peacefully Friday June 18th at his home in Walsenburg, Colorado, while on vacation. Michael was born in Huerfano County, Old La Veta Pass on June 15, 1959. He currently lived in Wyoming, where he was employed by Peabody Energy. He moved to Gillette, Wyoming in the 70's, where he worked in the Oil field. In the late 80's he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he was employed with Village Inn, he eventually became Kitchen Manager.
He met his wife Patricia while living in Tucson, Arizona. After moving his family to Wyoming in 93 he worked as a cook at Bazels Restaurant, in the Oil Field as a Roustabout, a Truck Driver, and eventually becoming a Coal Miner. He worked many years in the oil field with his brother Albert before eventually following his brother to work for his business A&B Oil Field Services. He trained at Sage Technical where he was trained as a Truck driver. After graduating Truck Driving School, he worked for Nelson Brothers Inc. hauling explosives for the mines. He eventually was employed by Foundation Coal, and Peabody Energy as a Coal Miner. He was known by many. He will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by the love of his life of 34 years Patricia Trujillo. His children Taren Michael Stevan Trujillo Jr., Michael Stevan Trujillo Jr., Patricia Trujillo, Joseph Michael Trujillo III, Daniel, Shayne Andrew Trujillo, and Step-daughter Stephanie Brent, as well as several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
