Obituary for Mary Chamberlain

Mary Ann Chamberlain passed away October 16, 2020 at home on the Chamberlain Family Ranch near Walsenburg, Colorado, she was 83. Mary Ann was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and grew up in Minatare, Nebraska. In 1960 she met and married her husband, Walter, in North Platte, Nebraska. They lived, ranched, and raised their six children on the family ranch in Lincoln County, Nebraska. In the early 1980’s, they moved to the ranch near Walsenburg. She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband, Walter Chamberlain.
Mary Ann is survived by her six children who were her greatest love: Greg (Cheri) Chamberlain, James (Shawna) Chamberlain, Jason Chamberlain, Cash (Candace) Chamberlain, Julie Chamberlain, and Lori (David) Berger. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren who gave her so much joy: Brock Chamberlain, Amy (Shade) Etbauer, Gage (Sarah) Berger, Katie Berger, Jordan (Kyle) Colbert, Justin Berger, Austin Berger and Bryanna Chamberlain. She also had three beautiful great-grand children: Presley, Josie, and Jace Chamberlain.
Mary Ann was a registered nurse for over forty years and touched many lives. She was a volunteer then became the director of Dorcas Circle Food and Clothing Bank in Walsenburg. She loved Jesus and shared that love with everyone she knew. She will be remembered as being the best mom, grandma and great-grandma, for her loving kindness, her generosity, and her great love of the Lord.
She was laid to rest at the family ranch on October 19, 2020. A memorial service is being planned for later on in November. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Dorcas Circle in Walsenburg or Sangre De Cristo Hospice.
