Lillian Elizabeth O’Rouke entered heaven on February 16th, 2020 in Denver CO at the age of 101. Lillian was born, raised and lived in the same house in Walsenburg most her life except a short time when she lived in California, where she then returned home to take care of her parents, Peter and Mary O’Rouke.
Lillian graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1936. She worked most her career at St. Mary Credit Union where she retired at the age of 75 in 1993. Upon her retirement, Lillian loved to travel with family where she would entertain gambling in Las Vegas, meet new family members in Maryland or travel abroad to Ireland or Canada.
Lillian spent the remaining eight years of her life living with her niece Carol Klotz in Denver. She was the last in line of fourteen children and was preceded in death by all her siblings. She will be greatly missed by her niece Carol and her eight great nieces and nephews
Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the rosary vigil this Thursday, February 20th at 7:00 p.m. Burial mass Friday, February 21st at 11:00 a.m. Lillian’s final resting place will be St. Mary’s North cemetery. Boies-Ortega funeral home entrusted with the services.
