Joe Ferrell Obituary
Joseph (Joe) Elmer Ferrell Sr, 88, of Walsenburg Colorado, lost his battle to cancer
on March 25, 2020. Joe was born February 24, 1933 in Popular Bluff Missouri
and is the son of John Lewis Ferrell and Mary Grace Zimmerman. Joe Served in
the United States Air Force as a loadmaster for many types of aircraft and enjoyed
talking about his adventures in Iceland. Upon leaving the Air Force, he was a truck
driver for many years traveling across the country. Joe enjoyed playing games and
hanging with family.
Joe is survived by his children Herbert Ferrell Sr (Janet) of Norwood Missouri,
Joelene Ferrell of Pittsburg Kansas, Joseph Ferrell Jr., Marie Williford (Joe) of
Croweburg, Kansas and eighteen grandchildren Herbert Ferrell Jr. (Carolyn) of
Wichita, Kansas, Stacy Baasch (Christian) of Acworth, Georgia, Jeffrey Ferrell
(Andrea) of Topeka, Kansas, Rianne Jameson of Lawrence, Kansas, Eric Ferrell
of Kansas City, Kansas, Valeri McBride of Pittsburg, Kansas, Linda Buffington of
Pittsburg, Kansas, Jeremey Williford of Croweburg, Kansas, Zachery Williford
(Maegan) of Girard Kansas, and Ron Ferrell (Taylorville, Illinois).
22 great-grandchildren (Aaron, Caleb, Meagan, Madison, Chelsea, Candace,
Abbey, Audrey, Eric, Sadie, Zane, Will, Wes, Robbie, Katie, Julianna, Connor,
Ethan, Andrew, Emily, Alexander and Chandler). 6 great-great grandchildren
(Zoee, Erik, Kayden, Avery, Trace and Everlyn)
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Siblings (Helen, Margaret,
Jeannie, George), Rose Ferrell (spouse), Ronald Ferrell (Son), Joseph Ferrell III
(grandson) and Annalyse Doughty (great-great daughter).
Joe will be cremated, and a graveside military services will be conducted at a later
date.His services are entrusted with the Boies Ortega Funeral Home in
Walsenburg, Colorado.
