Obituary for Charles Elmer "Chick" Hudson

Charles Elmer Hudson went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2020.
Chick was a lifetime resident of Huerfano County, born to Walter and Myrtle Hudson in Delcarbon, Colorado on October 2, 1921.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susie Ariano, granddaughter Lenni Dissler Malarsie, two brothers and four sisters.
Charles is survived by Floy, his wife of 71 years, his children, Sandra Dissler (Richard), Sherri Daher (Bob), Butch Hudson (Evie) and Sheila Hudson-Macchietto (Chuck), two sisters-in-law that he and his wife raised, Kathy Barnes (Bill) and Cellie Cuppy (Bob), fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, four sister in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
He served in World War II as a member of the United States Army and was stationed in Nebraska, Texas, Scotland, England, Ireland, France and Germany. He was attached to the 101st Airborne Division and worked under General Patton.
Chick worked at the Pueblo Army Depot from 1951 to 1973. He continued his career for another 30 years working at Bard Gas and Ludvik Propane as a furnace/gas repairman.
His favorite hobbies included hunting, bowling, gardening and fixing things in the garage.
