Obituary for Antoinette (Ann) ""Grandma Ann"" Mantini

Antoinette (Ann) Mantini 93, passed away June 18, 2019 in Pueblo Colorado. She was born in Bayonne N.J. on Jan. 3, 1926 to Guerino and Anna (Curiazza) Mantini. After the death of both parents at a young age, she and 4 siblings were placed in Catholic orphanages in Elizabeth N.J.. After graduating and then reaching the age of 18, she left the St. Anthony Orphanage and found employment in a cigarette factory. A few years later, she and brother George came to Colorado to visit their oldest sibling Joe, who was stationed in the military here in Colorado. She then met her brothers wife's brother Del, fell in love, married and raised four children.
Ann was employed as a teacher aide in School District Re-1 for several years. Ann was affectionately known as "Grandma Ann".
She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Steve and Rick, sisters Sara and Adeline and brothers Joe, George, and Rocco. Also preceded in death by granddaughter Kelli Vigil.
Ann is survived by son Ed (Rose) Duran, daughter Roberta (Art) Codina, sister Frances Greco, 5 grand children, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
