Obituary for Albert Anselmo

On August 19, 2021 Albert Amadeo Anselmo went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Charlene Anselmo, two daughters Sherri (Joe) Faris, Kimberly Anselmo and her husband Eric Wheeler, his grandchildren Kylee Faris, Kiana Medina, Wyatt Faris, Johnny and Taylor Wheeler. He is also survived by his sister Barbara (Gary) Agnes, his brother James (Pat) Anselmo, brother-in-law Nick Agnes, sister-in-law Becky Salazar and her husband Danny Martinez along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Amadeo “Tex” and RoseMarie Anselmo.
Albert attended Walsenburg High School where he graduated in 1968 and then attended Pueblo Community College where he received his diesel mechanics degree in 1970. He then married the love of his life Charlene in 1972 and then began their lives on the family ranch. Albert enjoyed working the family ranch with his parents, wife and their two daughters. Albert had a passion of the outdoors such as teaching his two daughters to hunt and being able to hunt with his friends (the good ol’ boys). Albert had a love for the mountains, his grandkids, and his cattle. Albert was a member of the Huerfano County Fire Board for eight years, the Huerfano County 4-H Fair Board for 12 plus years, drove the school bus for the La Veta School District for about 10 years, was a substitute teacher at the La Veta School for the Ag Mechanics classes and helped with the La Veta FFA Chapter.
Services for Albert will be held on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 11:00A.M. at the Huerfano Community Bible Church in Walsenburg at 601 S. Leon St followed by a reception at the Walsenburg Community Center. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Albert’s name to the following: Joni Fair Hospice House at 1107 Pueblo Blvd Way Pueblo, Co 81005, St. Mary Corwin Hospital 1008 Minnequa Ave Pueblo CO 81004, or the Dorcy Cancer Center at 2004 Lake Ave Pueblo, CO 81004.
