Obituary for Ray "Buddy" Kreutzer

Ray (Buddy) Kreutzer died October 20, 2019 at the age of 83. His memorial will be held at a later date.

Buddy was born February 24, 1936 at the family ranch home in La Veta to parents Evelyn and Earl Kreutzer.

He married Elizabeth (Betty) Willis on July 17, 1958 in Colorado Springs.

Buddy and brothers Glenn & Wayne owned the La Veta Exxon Station for 19 years and he was an avid rancher. He enjoyed hunting, camping and watching the eight grandsons in their sporting activities.

He was a member of the Masonic and Oddfellows Lodges, member of the 4H board and the Elk Breeder's Association and a proud patriot and benevolent level member of the NRA.

Buddy is survived by wife, Betty of 61 years of marriage; daughters Tammy (Bill) John) Hickey, Penny (Mark) Bud son Wade (Sabrina) Kreutzer; eight grandsons, Justin (Monique) Price, Chance (Tomi) Price, Trey Price, Clint (Carissa) Buderus, Ty (Jess) Buderus, Bryce (Raquel) Buderus, Clancey Kreutzer and Kyon Kreutzer; and step grandson Russell (Annalee) hickey and step-granddaugher Jenny (Wayne Peil; 16 great grandchildren and a great, great grandson,

He is also survived by sister Marie Riggins, brothers Keith (Ann) Kreutzer, Glenn Kreutzer, Wayne (Gloria) Kreutzer; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends,

He is preceded in death by parents Evelyn & Earl, brothers Russell and Dick Kreutzer and niece and nephew Brandy and Eric Kreutzer.
